Team Pollensa are excited to announce we are taking on a mountain walk challenge to help raise funds for two chosen charities close to our hearts.

The Pollensa Team will be taking on a 10K challenge on the 31st May 2024, walking up Mam Tor (meaning Mother Hill) near Castleton in the High Peak area of Derbyshire. Mam Tor sits on the edge of the Dark Peak (gritstone) and the White Peak (limestone) and is the main link between the Great Ridge, making this one of the most-loved ridge walks in the Peak District National Park.

Mam Tor is the starting point for the Peak District’s famous Great Ridge Walk, which runs for approximately 3km from Mam Tor to Lose Hill above the villages of Castleton.

Team Pollensa will dig deep to complete this challenge and raise vital funds to support their two chosen charities, Sue Ryder Care (Peterborough) and Cymryd-Rhan (Merthyr, Wales).   More details about these two amazing charities are provided below.

Team Pollensa are proud to support both of these charities with the funds raised from this walk.  You can make your donation here https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/Pollensa-Insurance

Sue Ryder Care, Peterborough

Sue Ryder Care (Peterborough) are there to make sure that everyone approaches the end-of-life living with grief can access the support they need.

They can’t make life’s most difficult moments easy, but Sue Ryder Care have, for more than 70 years, been a force of strength and support for anyone living with life-limiting illness or grief, and Team Pollensa are proud to raise funds for this amazing charity.

Cymryd-Rhan (Merthyr)

Cymryd-Rhan is an established charity based in Merthyr, Wales, supporting people to live in their own homes and to be part of their communities.  The charity provides support and care to individuals, supporting them with their mental health and wellbeing needs and reducing social isolation.  Some of their services start with the young in their childcare setting in Merthyr, supporting their families with many wellbeing factors, through to the older generation with their telephone companion service and seated exercise groups in rural communities.

Please help us support these amazing charities with a donation.
